Decades of experience, sharing my geeky love of printmaking
The cards and prints of Loaded Hips Press are completely handmade from carved linocuts and individually printed on a letterpress from 1910 in the haunted downstairs of an old waterfront warehouse by Pacific Northwest printmaker Shannon Buck.
Shannon is the Great-Grand Daughter of a professional illustrator who designed family crests and puppet sets in Europe, and her Grandmother was a skilled draftsperson. She was raised by bookworms on an island in the swamps of the South. She learned letterpress from old-school printers.

I believe in the raw beauty and accessibility of printmaking. I use old traditions of printing to create my work and my illustrations tell stories.
